- B-Gluta Injection: Combo pack of a vial containing Glutathione 600 mg with Water for Injection
INDICATIONS:
- Alcoholic Liver Disease
- Liver Cirrhosis
- Liver Damage in HIV/HCV Co-infection
- Gastritis
PHARMACOLOGY:
- Glutathione (GSH) is a water-soluble tripeptide composed of glutamine, cysteine, and glycine.
- The thiol group in GSH serves as a potent reducing agent, essential for detoxification of electrophilic compounds and peroxides.
- Detoxification is catalyzed by enzymes like glutathione S-transferases (GST) and glutathione peroxidases (GPx).
- GSH exists in oxidized (GSSG) or reduced (GSH) states, and optimal GSH:GSSG ratio is crucial for cellular health.
- Deficiency in GSH may lead to oxidative stress and is implicated in various pathologies such as:
- Cancer
- Neurodegenerative Disorders
- Cystic Fibrosis (CF)
- HIV
- Aging
DOSAGE:
- B-Gluta Injection: 300–600 mg daily via slow intramuscular or intravenous injection (based on severity)
ADMINISTRATION:
- IV Infusion: Dissolve with 5 ml sterile water for injection, dilute further in 250–500 ml of normal saline or 5% glucose for IV drip
- IM Injection: Reconstitute with 5 ml sterile water, inject intramuscularly (preferably in the gluteal region)

- Store in a cool, dry place below 25°C
