INDICATIONS:
VIOSYS 400 is indicated in the management of various liver disorders, including:
- Liver Cirrhosis
- Hepatocellular Carcinoma
- Alcoholic Liver Disease
- Hepatitis
MECHANISM OF ACTION:
SAMe (S-adenosyl L-methionine) is a naturally occurring compound in the body and a direct metabolite of L-methionine. It plays a pivotal role in the biochemical process known as transmethylation, donating methyl groups essential for numerous metabolic functions.
SAMe is synthesized by the enzyme S-adenosylmethionine synthetase, combining L-methionine and ATP. It acts as a methyl group donor in the synthesis of:
- DNA & RNA nucleic acids
- Phospholipids & Proteins
- Neurotransmitters such as epinephrine
- Hormones like melatonin
- Creatine and other important molecules
This makes SAMe essential in maintaining hepatic function, cell membrane integrity, and detoxification processes in the liver.
DOSAGE:
Recommended dosage: 400β1200 mg per day, in divided doses, for a minimum of 6 months or as directed by a healthcare professional.
